FAQ
Are K9 RockPaw boots actually waterproof?
Yes — fully waterproof, not just water-resistant. The upper construction is sealed to keep paws completely dry through river crossings, rain, and wet morning trails.
Will the boots actually stay on during a hike?
Yes. The most common complaint with other dog boots is that they fall off within the first mile. Our secure double-strap velcro system is specifically designed to stay locked through brush, water, and rough terrain.
Can my dog wear these boots in any season?
Yes — the All-Terrain Trail Boot is built for year-round use. It protects against hot summer pavement (up to 150°F), winter ice and road salt, and everything in between.
How do I know what size to order?
Use our free Paw Size Guide — trace your dog's paw on paper, measure the width, and match it to our chart. It takes under 60 seconds and covers sizes 2 through 8.
What if I order the wrong size?
No problem — every order comes with our 30-Day Fit Guarantee. Contact us within 30 days and we'll send the correct size for free, no questions asked.
Do all four boots come in the same size?
Yes — boots are sold in sets of 4 in one size. Since front paws are usually larger, we recommend sizing based on the front paw measurement for the best overall fit.
How do I get my dog used to wearing boots?
Let your dog wear the boots indoors for 10–15 minutes across 2–3 sessions before the first hike. Most dogs fully adjust within the first indoor session.
How do I clean and care for the boots?
Rinse with water after muddy or salty trails, let them air dry away from direct heat, and check the velcro straps periodically for trail debris buildup to keep them gripping well.
